Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a mechanical design engineer to work within our team of multi-disciplinary engineers on high-tech projects. You will develop machines, tools and equipment for the high-tech industry from concept to completion. You will need to consider kinematics, dynamics, material properties, structural dynamics, and thermal analysis. You have to understand the functional requirements and derive specifications. You will collaborate with our architect in a multidisciplinary project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, generate detailed CAD designs, create engineering drawings, discuss with suppliers, and support system integration and tests.
- You are responsible for the design and engineering of a complex machine or tool
- You work in close contact with the architect
- You work within a team of multi-disciplinary engineers on high-tech projects
- You contact suppliers and make the right selection of standard purchase parts

Education & experience:
Bachelor or master with 3-5 years of experience in challenging mechanical design assignments, preferably in the field of mechatronics and/or precision engineering.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Experience with 3D solid modeling (NX) for design conceptualization and realization
- Experience with precision engineering and mechatronics is a strong pro
- Excellent skills in problem-solving
- Ability to understand and create mechanical system architectures
- Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, vibrations, heat transfer, material properties, structures, in-vacuum systems, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
- Basic experience with mechanical analytical techniques, including Finite Element Analysis
- Demonstrated ability to derive conclusions from analysis and make practical recommendations
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Fluent in Dutch and excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
